jus landed last nite from taiwan...
its been a nice n yet not so nice trip after all...
the receiptionist told us on our last day that the best month to visit tw is in MARCH! weather cool with all the flowers bloomed and also not forgetting the "ying hua" and recommended us where to go. ALL ON THE LAST DAY while we were waiting for the transport to come.. SHEESH!
the hotel i stayed at was jus smack right in XiMenDing(XMD). So its really convenient to travel around with the MRT station just a short 2-3 mins walk away. =)
Weather was really very hot and humid that u pespire till ur whole tee can be wet! and the bad thing is that in taipei, there is not much air-conditioned place around. ermz... apart from the MRT station bah. Heh heh heh....
Places i went
Yang Ming Shan - [MRT- Bus up YMS - Bus ard YMS - Bus dwn YMS]
I travelled for quite a fair bit and stand ALOT with lotsa curve & swerving at a really fast speed. (As the name suggested, its a mountain.. hence the HEIGHT is very high la. People with weak heart can die from standing in that bus and looking out when you see yourself so high up.)
I got so nausea and sick after that ride up can?!
and guess what the best part. We dint walk or stopover to see the scenic view of YMS. why..when i have spent almost one whole morning travelling?
if only u r there to experience the heat lor. Even when sitting in the bus, you could feel the heat & perspire! we dint even dare to get down lor. In e end, we decided to give it a miss. sobs!!
Danshui - Fisherman Wharf
basically its jus a walk walk, play game & eat place. Old street kind. Took a ferry to fisherman wharf cos people said that sunset at the lover's bridge is fantastic. But i guess we went too early. Sun not even setting yet lor. I think cos we dint walk ard YMS. Hence went danshui too early. LOL!!! so we sat ard feeling the breeze before we left.. SHITE.. miss the sunset this time! ARGH!!!! WASTE MY TIME, $ and ENERGY!
Wu Fen Pu
Place to shop for clothes & accessories.. Basically clothes are relatively cheaper than other places. I think its the wholesale area where places like Shilin , XMD etc get their clothes from.
Dint really buy any clothes from here la. Cause their fashion is really different as compared to SG. Really kiddy kiddy kind. Not suitable at all. =D
Some A**hole sales people are really damn nasty & rude la. I got stared at for nothing. Like 1 of the shop i went, i merely asked the price of a carrier and a tee, n he started asking whether i want it anot. PEOPLE NEED TO CONSIDER ONE LEI! in the end, i decided not to cause material wasnt so nice. So i politely, nicely & paisey-ing said SORRY to him. N I GOT STARED BACK REAL BADLY LA!!! FUCK SIA! it shocked me la.... n totally spoilt my mood lor. it was those really bad stare manz.
Whereas some is like very impatient and speak to you very harse... SHIT MANZ.

not much to shop... Doesnt understand why... prices steeper and very crowded unlike wufenpu.. mainly more of eating there bah. =) And i cant stand their almond drink stalls there. SMELLY!!! n its alot of those push cart stalls sia! sheesh...
And its amazing that when they spot a police far far away, less than few mins, all these pushcarts are gone. Some onto back alleys, some up the main pavement, shielding themselves... lol... so comical u see them pushing away with their customer standing there. LOL!

Dun go there. Absolutely nothing to do there. Tried the pepper bun that people in the forum have recommended. Not much actually. =S i think they like to Q those with long Q.. HAHA!! once again, mayb its their taste la...

Things that are sold here r bout same price as sg la.. so not much to buy here. Only walk ard see see lor.. =) And on the morning that we are leaving, I saw F.I.R!!! i think they were shooting commercial or whatsoever.. haha.. cos got ppl arranging the FANs standing area so that when the door of the van opened, they starts screaming... MUAAHAHAHAHA.... The female lead hair damn red la..
CKS Memorial Hall
Built till it looks so much like the Lincoln memorial Hall in washington DC ( which i dint managed to go in cos mummy was too tired to walk there le..)The guard changing process was cool la.. I wonder how they managed to time their pace etc... *whistle*

- famous chix cutlet from shilin night market ( it was nice!)
- ah zhong mee sua in shilin & XMD
- lu rou fan ( i think its stewed pork rice la.. ) -super yummY! i had it for 3 days consecutively! =D
- mango ice from san1 xiong1 mei4 ( the ice shaving relli thin n thick-dunno how to explain but was relli nice but idiotic thing i suddenly got stomach ache n clnt eat it. SHIT!)
- you yu geng (Sotong stew)
- alot of diff type of nice packaged drinks
- SMELLY TOFU! ( IT SUCKS BIG TIME! e smell wasnt so bad, it was the taste... or mayb i chose the wrong stall)
- tai yang bing ( Buttery pastry- nice!)
- Sweet & sour dumplings soup (NICE!!)
- bubble tea
- some yam balls
- some chee kueh with red meat in it. (dun really like e taste la.. haa!)
- fishballs was tasty! (QQ one!!)
actually, i cldnt possibly list out all e food i tasted. But overall food wise wasnt too bad! =) But there is alot i dint managed to taste la.. Perhapes next time... when the weather is cooler. Cos cool weather makes u cool and it will make u wanna walk! sheesh...
Games i played...
Basically, i only played one game. Basketball in the arcade. Its those we had in SG too. That dispenses ticket kind, where you throw the basketball in the loop?
Their arcade is full of this, very minimal other games or those street fighter kind. Weird that these taipei ppl loves this game so much that everywhere u go u can see this game. =/
n i saw this amazing little boy who haven even hit my waist line ( i think) in height playing the kid sized machine, scoring each ball he threw!!! FANTASTIC LA HIM!! -squeal- so damn cool la.. HAH HAH!

u noe those catch toys machine?? with those super thin & weak metal claws that u pratically cant catch any stuff toys etc kind? They have it loads there too! n they are like charging minimun of 150-200TWD which is ard SGD15-20 la! THATS CRAZY!
n its not those really cute or very good kind of toys. Some are even key chains. But like i say, people there throw $ money.. Spend alot on these kind of machine. Madness i tell you. There is even people working for these machines.. If customer managed to catch one, they'll open the door and place another one that "looks" like gonna drop in to lure another stupid customer lor... =/ *faints*
n the claws are like once u lift it opens kind.. tsk tsk..
