Dear friends,
One of my uncles is currently warded in SGH undergoing treatment for cancer. We believe that the cancer cells may have spread to his bone marrows. Thus his blood cells are decreasing alarmingly. We've just been informed that the hospital is running short of blood for him. I would like to appeal to anyone of you who is a O+ blood type to consider donating blood. You cannot specific the patient you are donating to (as opposed to blood palates), though I think can still mention the patient's details. HSA will be collecting for the common pool and blood will be given according to urgency. Though my uncle's case is rather urgent, SGH/HSA will still need to do matching first to ensure that the blood is suitable for my uncle. There may be cases where the blood donated will be used for the more life threatening emergency cases before my uncle. We hope that you will still consider giving. Try asking around for people to donate too.
Thanks a lot!

My uncle's family sends their gratitute to all who have come forward to help. Thank you.
